Lokey and Pokey have always been held with special regard by their uncle, Overlord
Pounce. He took them on as wards, and brought them
to his palace in Osopolis, capital of the
Sirius System. There he raised them, and their loyalty
to their Uncle Pounce became unshakable.
Lokey and Pokey, still puppies by any standard, live to serve their Overlord.
Often they spy for their uncle, work as couriers, and perform the less savory
tasks involved with being a villain. Because they are puppies, however, their
logic is sometimes off-kilter, and they are easily distracted.
Lokey is the more assertive of the two, and generally assumes command when
Uncle Pounce is not around. This is not difficult, since Pokey is not very strong
in the "free-thinking" catagory. It has been rumored that Pokey was dropped on
his head several times before he was weaned, but these rumors have never been
substantiated. (It is far more likely that they were both
dropped on their heads before they were weaned.)
If Pounce has any weakness (apart from squeaky toys) it is his special regard for
the two. For just as he terrifies them to maintain control, he also protects
them ferociously.
