25 May 2007 - Life Break

I need to take a bit of a life break over the next week, for the Memorial Day weekend and for work purposes. No new cartoons will be posted for the coming week. Look for page 5 of The Starracer Project on Wednesday, June 6, page 3 of Wonder 'Zoi on Monday, June 4, and the next Running with Scissors on Friday, June 8. 12 May 2007 - The starracer Project Goes Live!

The Starracer Project: Another Incident on Grek 9 is launched! Page 1 is up, and Page 2 is coming on Wedndesday. I'm going to try updating this on Saturdays and Wednesdays rather than in two-page installments. We'll see if that winds up being too much hassle. This project has a little different approach to the media and presentation than Wonder 'Zoi. The UI for viewing the comics is tweaked some, as well. The WZ intermission story is scheduled to go up on Monday. If I have time this weekend I'm going to work on that page setup to be more like Starracer's because I really think it works better and is easier to use. At any rate, I hope you enjoy the new feature. As always I encourage feedback, so drop me a line and tell me what you think!

30 April 2007 - Wonder 'Zoi 3 is in the can!

Been a long time coming....Wonder 'Zoi 3 is finally completed. I posted the final two pages together, rather than spread them out, since they really seemed to stand together a bit better than alone. At any rate, drop me a line and tell me what you think! The Adventures of Wonder 'Zoi Episode 4 will be starting in July, but in the mean time, the short comic featuring Overlord Pounce will be starting up on May 7. Should be fun!

On an unrelated note, my ISP is doing some network switchovers and has had a bit of hardware trouble of late. What does this mean to you, the loyal reader? Not much, except that it might explain why, from time to time the site's been offline. At any rate, I expect that things will be squared away some time in the next two weeks or so. Sorry for the inconvenience - if we're not there, try back in a bit!

07 April 2007 - The Starracer Project

Saturday, May 12, 2007 is set as the launch date for a new Earthrise Comics feature, The Starracer Project. This space fantasy follows the exploits of Kal and Slimeball, two old friends of mine who are just ordinary guys with a tendancy to get into trouble. Well, Slimeball is a seven-foot-tall bipedal reptile, and they have a space ship...but generally, they're just ordinary guys. The prologue episode is in production now and is expected to run sixteen pages. It will be released in two-page increments over eight weeks, following the conclusion of Episode 3 of Wonder 'Zoi. For my part, I'm really excited about this story. Kal and Slimeball have been haunting my creative subconscience for decades now, and I am very pleased to finally find what I think is the right vehicle for them.

Fans of Wonder 'Zoi shouldn't despair, though, as a special intermission treat featuring Overlord Pounce will be released concurrently. The Adventures of Wonder 'Zoi Episode 4 is scheduled to follow the conclusion of these stories, in July.

02 April 2007 - Site Upgrades Complete!

Our long national nightmare is over! The major site updates are complete! There are still a few minor things to tweak but I'm calling it done. The whole site's pretty much been overhauled, now. The only thing I'm not redoing at this juncture are the archived pages for Running with Scissors.

The site's user interface updates are ongoing, but I think it's getting closer to where it needs to be. With any major overhaul like this, there are bound to be some bugs and refinements to be ferreted out, so please bear with me and feel free to point out broken links, typos, and the like.

I am in the process of making some pretty major changes to the EARTHRISE COMICS web site. Check 'em out and tell me what you think! I'm starting with Wonder 'Zoi and working from there. Any feedback you want to offer on the look and feel, how easy it is to find things, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

22 December 2006 - And We're Back!

The Earthrise Comics web site is finally back on line with a new domain name. I've learned to not make any promises about delivering the goods but I have been thinking about dusting off my pens and getting back on the boards. So, where have I been the past...is it really four years? I don't really want to get into it at this juncture, but I will say that I really feel like things are looking up now.

I've re-tooled a few things on the web site and tried to update and fix bad links and references where I could. It's been a while though, so bear with me and let me know if anything doesn't seem to work right. Who konws, I might even add some new content...guess we'll just have to see!
